如果主人有一個聰明的小伙計，他既順從聽話，又能憑著自己的聰明才智行事，那主人多幸運啊，他的家又該是多安樂!曾有這樣一位聰明的小伙計漢斯，一次主人讓他去找回走失的牛，他出去后好長時間沒回家，主人想：“漢廝多忠心，干起活來多賣力!”可這么晚他還沒回來，主人擔心他出意外，便親自起身去找他。他找了好久，最后總算瞧見漢斯在寬闊的田野另一頭，正一蹦一跳地朝他迎面趕來。“喂!親愛的漢斯，我打發(fā)你去找牛，找到?jīng)]有?”主人走近問。“沒有，老爺。我沒有找到牛，不過我也沒去找。”小伙計答道。“那你去找什么了，漢斯?”“找更好的東西，很幸運找到了。”“是什么，漢斯?”“三只山鳥。”小家伙答道。“在哪里?”主人問。“我見到一只，聽到一只，然后拔腿去趕第三只。”聰明的小家伙回答道。

Once his master asked him to find the lost cow. He didn't go home for a long time after he went out. The master thought, "how loyal Hans is and how hard he works!" But he didn't come back so late. The master was worried about his accident, so he got up to find him himself. After looking for him for a long time, he finally saw Hans coming towards him at the other end of the wide field. "Hello! Dear Hans, I sent you to find the cow. Did you find it?" The master approached and asked. "No, sir. I didn't find the cow, but I didn't either." The boy replied. "What are you looking for, Hans?" "Find something better. I'm lucky to find it." "What is it, Hans?" "Three mountain birds." The little guy replied. "Where is it?" Asked the master. "I saw one, heard one, and then set out to catch the third." The clever little guy replied.
